Based on the current situation of ammonia synthesis from natural gas, in this thesis, we exploring a new method of one step ammonia synthesis from natural gas. The purpose of this method is to simplify the operating equipment, reduce investment and pollution and improve the utilization value of the C in methane.A series of supports (HAC1, AC1, HTAC1, HZSM-5) and catalysts (Fe/HAC1, Fe/HZSM-5, Mo/HAC1, Mo/HZSM-5) were prepared. N2 physisorption, X-ray diffraction, H2 temperature programmed reduction, scanning electron microscopy and infrared were carried out to characterize the supports and the catalysts. And that the supports and the catalysts were all used in ammonia synthesis, which was carried out by using nitrogen and methane as raw materials. The activity and stability of catalysts and support were also studied; The tail gas of ammonia synthesis is analyzed by gas chromatography. It was proved that ammonia can synthesis directly from nitrogen and methane under some catalysts. The reaction products include ethane, ethylene, naphthalene, hydrogen, ammonia, coke, etc. And activated carbon under different treatments all show certain methane catalytic convert activity and ammonia catalytic activity, but their activity exhibit obvious differences with different modification methods. The activity of ammonia synthesis will be enhanced if Fe loaded on the activated carbon, while the activity with a certain decrease if Mo loaded on it. HZSM-5, Fe/HZSM-5 and Mo/HZSM-5 all show some of the methane catalytic convert activity, but none of them have the catalytic convert activity of ammonia synthesis.
