In this paper, the tests of monominerals, artificial mixed ores and zeta potential, as well as the calculation of solution chemistry, have been conducted. The results of these help us to study the basic flotation behavior of apatite and dolomite, and the mechanism and effects of pH regulator, calcium and magnesium ions on that. The adsorption, solution interface reaction and mineral surface properties'transform can also have an influence on the flotation and separation of apatite and dolomite. The conclusions of this thesis include the parts as follows.1. The results of the monomineral tests show that:Using sodium oleate as collectors, dolomite has a better floatability than apatite. However, in the system using sodium carbonate, the apatite has been activated so that it has a better floatability than that using sodium hydroxide. In the sodium hydroxide system which has a pH during 10 to 12, dextrin could separate these two minerals well, but much worse in the sodium carbonate system.2. The influence of calcium and magnesium ions on monomineral flotation shows that:The adding calcium ions make the flotation behavior of apatite and dolomite similar, which abase the separation of organic depressant to these two minerals. After adding magnesium ions could activate the flotation of apatite, so that it reduces the inhibiting effect to apatite. In the sodium carbonate system, the additive calcium and magnesium ions make the separation of inhibitor to monominerals much worse than in the sodium hydroxide system. The similarity of apatite and dolomite flotation is going against the flotation separation of these minerals.3. The mechanism which calcium and magnesium ions influence the flotation indicate that: In apatite and dolomite mixture system, the adsorption of anion from the crystal lattice when mineral dissolve in alkalescent condition, would convert the surface properties of apatite and dolomite.According to the solution chemistry calculation of calcium and magnesium ions in sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate system separately, the influence of calcium and magnesium ions on apatite and dolomite flotation behaviors is relevant to the mental ions'dominant components in equilibrium system.
