ABSTRACT:This article is based nanocomposite Laponite gel as research subjects. The adsorption of heavy metals is studied. The gel is prepared by a crosslinking agent of Laponite of clay nanocomposite gel.Because of its mechanical strength, rapid response, the advantages of biological adaptability,by the widespread concern, but the role it played in heavy metal absorption has not been reported.Laponite is an inorganic clay, clay is commonly used in heavy metal adsorbent object, but the strength of the clay because of their problems in terms of Metals from Wastewater by a lot of constraints. As clay composite gel material has good strength, so it is possible as a way to solve this problem. In addition, the Laponite due to its special structure, the surface with a certain amount of charge in favor of chemical adsorption. Therefore, clay composite gel may be a good heavy metal adsorbent material. In this paper, Laponite nanocomposite gel is maily researched, respectively, nano-gel material of Laponite was prepared through free radical polymerization, inverse emulsionAfter the gel preparation, the preparation of the clay composite gel adsorption isotherm, adsorption kinetics were studied. And on the pH, temperature, concentration of clay adsorption process conditions on the clay gel also studied the impact of proposed optimization of gel conditions for clay-gel adsorption of heavy metals in the practical application of basic research provided. In addition, freeze-drying were used as swelling method and direct method of crushed clay composite gel processing, and the gel after adsorption kinetics were studied.
