For a long time, the pressure straightening technology is widely used in industrial production, and it has some advantages, for example straightening force, flexibility, simple and economic. But the traditional artificial pressure straightening method is done through the constantly measurement and correction testing. The straightening process is inefficient, and the straightening results can not be guaranteed. In order to meet the needs of automatic straightening machine developing, it is necessary to do the straightening machine intellectualization research.After analysis of the straightening process model, we get the factors impact of the straightening stroke, and establish the prediction of the straightening stroke theoretical model for bending metal mod. And through various experiments and simulations for metal mod, we got relation between initial deflection and straightening stroke. And these data are saved into the database. The expert system of prediction of stroke for precision straightening based on database can be established. Development of prediction of the straightening stroke soft packages can combine the research results of computation model with artificial intelligence technology. The main work is as follows:Firstly, in order to understand the work of the entire process of automatic straightening machine, the working principle and work flow were introduced briefly. Based on the prediction of the straightening stroke theoretical model, the mathematical models was analyzed, cross sections for the rectangular, circular and linear guide parts straightening mathematical model is created. The solution of the model can be done by numerical methods.Secondly, based on theoretical model and simulation, experimental data, the precision straightening database can be established on ACCESS, and the database mainly contains the five data tables, material properties, part type, processing parameters and permissions. The expert system of prediction of stroke for precision straightening based on database was established, and the overall structure of the expert system and creation process of knowledge base, and reasoning machine were described dentally. And prediction of the straightening programming was achieved by Lab VIEW programming language. The entire program is divided into parameter input module, the span adjustment module, straightening stroke prediction module and database management module in a modular way.Finally, the accuracy of expert system of prediction of stroke for precision straightening can be verified by finite element method and the bending experiments. Material nonlinear simulation analysis was applied to the loading and unloading process of pressure straightening in the ANSYS software. A series of bending test can be completed for LG15 linear guide. Compared with the experimental data, the expert system can accurately predict stroke for straightening. The system laid the foundation for the development of precision straightening prototype.
