A Primary Study Of Recreational Carrying Capacity On Grassland Ecosystems

The development of tourism used to blindly pursue economic benefit,ignoring the negative impacts it has brought to the environment.When people began to pay attention to this problem,theory of recreational carrying capacity was born.Research of recreational carrying capacity abroad started very early and has formed many practical management frameworks,such as LAC,VERP,etc.Compared with general scenic spots, resources and environment in natural reserves are more vulnerable and precious.Grassland ecosystem is one type of natural reserves, but there are few researches on grassland recreational carrying capacity at present.This paper taking Yila-Bulun-Conggu Grassland as a case study area, combining present achievements of carrying capacity research both domestic and abroad, absorbing relative theories of LAC and VERP, tries to set up a recreational carrying capacity monitoring system for grassland ecosystem, which includes selecting sample plots,establishing indicator system,analyzing investigation results,grading impacts,establishing standard system and providing management guide.This paper is expected to provide practical help for the management of grassland tourism and protection of environment,and apply in other scenic spots of same type.
