Traditional Chinese medicinal material is rich in resources, which takes hold of the world's attention because of its extensive and unique effect. Natural medicines and traditional medicines brought out a strong vitality once again in the "return to nature" trend of the world. For years, traditional woody herbal medicine industry in China has made substantial progresses, and Chinese Medicinal Material has become an important export commodity. Now, modern Chinese medicine industrialization has become China's strategic development plan for the economic development.To achieve the modernization of the Chinese herbal medicine, we must inherit and improve the scientific and reasonable production process of traditional Chinese medicine, because the structural differences of the woody herbs in the cells leads to the difficulty of drying than ordinary medicines. Now there is not so many driers are specially designed on the drying methods and techniques of woody herbs on the market, and the woody herbs which dried by the traditional drying method is not only have quality problem, but also have high energy consumption and long drying time problems. So an efficient, energy saving and intelligent control of drying process Chinese herbal dryer is necessary to be designed. We prefer to develop the most reasonable drying methods and technology for the different woody herbs.Based on the analysis of the structure and energy consumption of the traditional Chinese medicine dryer, we made an intensive study in the microscopic mechanism and process technology of the vacuum drying, which provide a theoretical basis for the overall design of traditional woody herbal medicine CNC Vacuum Dryer. In this design, the drying machine was equipped with drying room, vacuum system, heating system, cooling condenser system, fans, electric control part and the connecting pipes and other components. As the environment space for drying, Vacuum drying chamber is the most important part of the entire drying equipment, so the paper gives a detailed design for the drying chamber, sensor, bracket plate, heated shelves, pallet and so on which were contained in it. The wall thickness of the drying chamber was optimized by the finite element optimization method in the ANSYS, then the strength check of the optimization results was carried out by the analytical design method, which verified the strength and reliability can meet the design requirements.Woody herbal medicine CNC vacuum dryer as a mechanical product, need a good appearance to reflect its value and technology to enter the market. In this paper, we use the three-dimensional software SOLID EDGE to modeling and assemble, then use the "man machine-environment" modern industrial design method and harmony thought to design the appearance, in the end, we use Rhino and Vray to transform the appearance and get the overall rendering to complete the final design.In order to improve the intelligence level of the dryer control, this plan brought in the fuzzy control technology which through the data fuzzification, fuzzy reasoning, and anti-blur to get the manipulating parameter acting on the controlled object. In this paper, we use the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox of software MATLAB to carry out the analysis of the Fuzzy Controller, and build modules by SIMULNIK to complete the design of fuzzy controller. Then it carried out a simulation study and got the step response curve which has a temperature and humidity controlled.The research and development of the Vacuum drying equipment for traditional woody herbal medicine is conducive to enhance the international competitiveness of the woody herbal medicines, and also provide a new way for the future development of the new energy efficient, and intelligent control of the Chinese herbal medicines drying equipment, which play an important role to improve the level of the domestic Chinese herbal dryer.
