Researching On The Trend Of Thought In Ecological Socialism From Postmodernism Perspective

Postmodernism, as an extensively cultural ideological trend which has a significant impact on whole western world, was produced in the 1950s. As a kind of trend, ideology and theory, it carries with the function of cultural critiques of which it has sharply and harshly criticized the various malpractices of the industrial civilization, featuring by a comprehensive review of the western civilization and making a thorough reflection and criticism on the modern industrial civilization. In line with the deep concern on human destiny, the author has put forward the "constructive postmodernism". Namely, it is to rebuild the harmonious relationship between human and nature, and the ecological existence of human.Ecological socialism is a currently prominent Marxist genre in the western countries. In face of the increasingly serious ecological crisis in the world, ecological socialists have revealed the positive connection between ecology crisis and capitalist system. They point out that the capitalist mode of production is the primary cause of the global ecological crisis. As long as the capitalist system exists, ecological crisis will be inevitable. The fundamental way of saving human's living environments is to create the all-round developed ecological socialist society. Ecological socialists carry forward the Marxist critical spirit and make a sharply ecological criticism on the contemporary capitalism, which have provided us with the new perspective for the recognition of capitalism; Meanwhile, ecological socialism will expand the contents of socialist into the level of the relationship between man and nature, and put the elimination of the ecological crisis as the important socialism's mission.In this article, it has selected the new perspective on postmodern to see through the development process of ecological socialism. Firstly, it starts from the ecological view of postmodernism, finds out its conjunction points with the ecological socialism, and analyzes its influence on the ecological socialism during the process of post-modernism's rise, development and decline. With the development of socialism, it still has many defects and shortcomings in a continuous improvement and development period. However, the two big proposed and explored problems- ecological problems and socialist problems have represented the current direction and the development trend in the world. It is the realistic subject with the infinite vitality and imagination space. It does not only offset the defects of ecological problems in the traditional socialism, but also provides a beneficial enlightenment for the practice of the China's scientific outlook on development. That is to unswervingly follow the path of sustainable development and adhere to the development of people-oriented principle; set up a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development concept.
