China is a large country which teems with coal. With the rapid development of economy,the demand of coal is increasing. The coal industries also unceasingly exploit to the coal seams of complex geological conditions and the buried depth. The degree of the coal industries threatened by water,fire,gas,and other factors is also increasing. The No.8,9,coal seam above the level of 500 meters in Niuxi mine,Zhangjiakou Coal Mining Group had been stopped. In the year of 2008,when the No.901 and 9370 working face were mined,there happened a roof flooding incident. The water-inrush from roof inundated the working face,and the actual mining was interrupted. In order to guarantee the safety production and establish the drainage and waterproofing design,it has some important guiding significance to analyze the mechanism of mining roof flooding deeply of the South wing mine area,the 420 meters level.In the first place,collect several water samples in the roof flooding point of the South wing,other roadway watering points,and the river of Sanggan,and determine chemical composition and content of stable isotope. According to the grey correlation analysis to the data of the water chemistry,the piper three-wire diagram analysis,the analysis of stable isotopic characteristics and the mine displacement analysis, distinguish the possibility of the water inrush source.By the use of geophysical prospecting to search the water-enriched regions, the water conducted channels and coal seam cracking height,the consequence indicated that the analysis of the water inrush source is reliable;the coal seam cracking height is over the roof aquifer.The occurrence of the roof flooding incident to the large extent is due to that the coal seam cracking height after the mining spread to the stability of the roof aquifer. Thus,the water of the roof aquifer collapsed into the working face. For this reason, based on the stratigraphic features of the South wing mine area,the 420 meters level, use the similar material simulation to study the damage law of roof rock movement, changes in the vertical distribution of stress and the height of the water flowing fractured zone.By synthesized analysis,research the mechanism of mining roof flooding of the South wing mine area,420 meters level. At the same time,on the basis of geology and hydrogeology conditions,build up the hydro geological conceptual model. According to the hydro geological conceptual model,by the use of the simulation software—Visual Modflow,by means of identifying analysis to the model,inverse hydrogeology parameters of the different section and build up the water inflow numerical simulation model of the study. The model successfully predicts the aquifer discharge of the South wing mining area,288 meters level and North wing mining area,420 meters level.According to the research result,establish mine water measures,and provide a scientific basis for the safe and efficient production.
