Thiosemicarbazide Schiff bases and complexes are more and more important for their special structures. They can be used in the field of medicine, electrochemistry and analysis chemistry, but little reports in catalysis. It is very significant to discuss the structure of complexes and reaction conditions on their catalytic activities in the field of catalysis. And it is worth taking its optimal conditions to achieve some valuable reactions. A series of novel thiosemicarbazide Schiff bases have been synthesized. We have applied Schiff base complex to organic catalysis and studied catalytic properties. The thesis is composed of following two parts:The first part is about literature review. The progress briefly introduced the application of the Schiff bases and complexes in organic reactions, Michael addition reaction of indoles withα,β-unsatureted ketones, Friedel-Crafts reaction of indoles withβ-nitroalkenes, synthesis of bisindolymethane compounds.The second part is about experimental content. It introduces the major work:1. We investigated the Michael addition reaction of indoles withα,β-unsatureted ketones catalyzed by the catalyst thiosemicarbazide Schiff bases and complexes, afforded theβ-indolyketones.2. We studied the Friedel-Crafts reaction of indoles withβ-nitroalkenes catalyzed by the catalyst thiosemicarbazide Schiff bases and complexes, afforded theβ-indoly-α-nitroalkanes.3. We studied the synthesis of bisindolymethane compounds catalyzed by the catalyst thiosemicarbazide Schiff bases and complexes.
