PVC resin processing temperature is close to its thermal decomposition temperature, which is very easy to cause "zipper dehydrochlorination"during heat melt processing. In the processing, we should add in thermal stabilizer to increase the thermal decomposition temperature of PVC. With people gradually raising the awareness of environmental protection, the research of efficient, non-toxic thermal stabilizer of PVC has become inevitable. Nowadays the commonly used thermal stabilizer contain lead salt, calcium zinc stabilizers, organic tin, rare earth stabilizer and organic secondary stabilizer.In this paper, LDH modified by stearate and stearic acid dodecyl sulfonate were synthesized by a typical one-step co-precipitation method, As for the hydrotalcite layered structure, organic acid can be adsorbed on the hydrotalcite surface orientation, so that hydrotalcite has charge to prevent the agglomeration of particles of hydrotalcite, used in PVC to play the role of preventing the thermal decomposition of PVC.Another esterification of the polyol partial ester was synthesized by pentaerythritol and adipic acid. Calcium/zinc soap will be conducted with the ester to prepare an efficient pentaerythritol ester/Ca-Zn Composite thermal stabilizer, improving the initial coloration characteristic of the Ca-Zn thermal stabilizer and zinc burning phenomenon of the zinc soap.Finally, Preliminary study of hydrotalcite and so improve the performance of PVC weathering, the study of xenon lamp aging show that theβ-diketone compound and LDH are added to the PVC to improve the weathering resistance.In this paper, the synthesis of various hydrotalcite, pentaerythritol esters were characterized by Infrared method. The hydrotalcite structure was characterized by XRD. The result of Congo red test, static thermal aging test, dehydrochlorination test, rheological method show that the thermal stability of the long-term of PVC improve significantly; pentaerythritol ester and calcium zinc stabilizer compound have impact on the initial coloring of PVC, significantly improve the thermal stability of calcium and zinc soap.
