CNC machine tools are machine tools machining of mechanical parts. Numerical control technology plays an important role to achieve flexible automation, integration, intelligence in manufacturing. How to measure and reduce the geometric errors of CNC machine tools in order to improve the precision of CNC machine tools has become an important indicator of the level of industrial development.The composed of 21 geometric errors of the horizontal milling machine is analyzed and the commonly used geeometric error compensation method is discussed in this paper.Based on the homogeneous coordinate transformation matrix theory, comprehensive model of the geometric errors of horizontal CNC miller is established. The measurement of X direction of TK6363B horizontal CNC millier is realized by the multi-system composed of Laser interferometer, linear measuring instrument VM182, double ballbar. Based on the analysis of conversion relationship between dynamic measurement and static measurements, the error prediction model on double ballbar simulation with laser interferometer, double ballbar simulation with grating VM182, grating VM182 simulation with laser interferometer are established and the real-time dynamic measurement is guaranteed while errors calibration accuracy is increased and the cost is reduced.NC program correction is done according to the date of the measurement system and CNC internal interpolation algorithm. Comprehensive compensation for the geometric error of CNC milling TK6363B is done and the effect of the compensation is very good. Compensation for vertical error of the milling machine is also done by modifying the instruction. Gap error of the geometric errors is compensated using the parameter correction unit of CNC system SIMENS-810D.
