People take lots of measures to solve the heavier environmental problems in the current world. Environmental economic policy is one of the most effective long-time solutions among them. According to law of market economy, environmental economic policies internalize environmental cost by using economic means to influence and regulate the behavior of the market participants. Implementation of environmental economic policy contributes to harmonizing sustainable development between economy and environmental protection, and environmental protection verification system of listed enterprises is an environmental economic policy in the field of finance. Because of late beginning, environmental protection verification system is just stepping to the phase of standardized development and still exists many problems that need further perfection.Concept, development history, as well as the necessity and importance of establishment and perfection of environmental protection verification system will be firstly discussed and demonstrated in the research.Owing to the development concept of emphasizing economy with environmental protection neglect, enterprises with heavy pollution and high energy consumption were over-developing in our country. Especially some listed enterprises,the blind investment of which caused a great waste of resources and serious environmental pollution, which was contrary with the new development concept of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society in our country. Therefore, it was necessary to establish an environmental access mechanism in stock market as possible,and then environmental protection verification system was established. The system is important for urging listed enterprises to improve their environmental behavior and commit environmental responsibility , avoiding risk transfer by environmental problems of listed enterprises as well as regulating investment orientation and the industrial structure, etc.Perfection and mature of a system is a long-term process. The environmental protection verification system in our country in force exists a series of problems, which restrict the effective implementation of it. Based on these problems, improvement measures will be put forward, such as expanding the scope of verification, establishing incentive mechanism, strengthening supervision of listed enterprises, strengthening public participation, formulation laws and regulations, etc.This research can provide references for the perfection of environmental protection verification system, as well as for the establishment and perfection of other environmental economic policies.
