With the technique development and the raise of oil price, the exploration and the producing rate of heavy oil has been developed increasingly in Shengli Oilfield. In a long time, the development of heavy oil will be an important research job in production of oil and gas. The reservoir has three big problems during development in Gao424 reservoir. First, the reservoir nonuniformity is apparent, so it is likely to form the overlap advance and high permeability fingering for the steam injection, which lead to low vertical sweepout efficiency. Second, the wide spacing of current pattern make the single-well-control-reserve big, which lead to bad adaptability of pattern. Third, the contributory drainage volume is small of horizontal well and the adaptability is bad of sand control techniques, which lead to low liquid rate of reservoir. The paper evaluates the reservoir geologic characteristic of Gao424 reservoir, especially reservoir nonuniformity. And on the base of analysis on the test and preproduction feature, the evaluation of development performance was evolved. Thus, the reasonable development pattern was demonstrated detailed with reservoir engineering and numerical reservoir simulation and the infilled adjustment plan is established. This initiating project research studied fine geological with taking the well pattern form, the well spacing and the steam injection parameters optimization as the core and studied heavy oil reservoirs remaining oil distribution rule and horizontal well development compatibility. Therefore, the determination of reasonable development pattern makes the important significance to improve the development effect of Gao424 reservoir and takes guidance on the development of similar heavy oil reservoir.
