As a new type of organic functional materials, organic polymers have both conductivity and optical properties of semiconductor, and also has plasticity, flexible features, and they have advantages such as low cost and easily preparation. After research for more than thirty years, the optoelectronic devices based on materials of organic polymers have been successfully applied to high-tech products, such as photoelectric detectors, biological sensors, organic solid-state laser.Organic polymer is semiconductor but it is different from the traditional semiconductor. The traditional semiconductor's carriers are electrons and holes, but the carriers of organic polymer are soliton, polaron, bipolaron and so on. Because of its unique nature, physicists and chemists have done a lot of theoretical work. Su W.P. who makes a great contribution to organic polymers due to establishment of SSH model. Later KSSH model, the extended SSH model was developed after this model. In recent years electron correlation has been found to be very important in the organic polymers electronic band structure and the nature of the carriers. We know that electronic band structure and the carrier mainly determine the function of the organic polymer material and usage. In view of the importance of electron correlation, Zhao introduced firstly long-range correlation energy in the analytical formula and the long-range correlation Hamiltonian, which is important for the research of electron correlation. In this paper using the extended SSH model, we discuss the influence of electronic interaction to polaron in polyacetylene. Then, in Chapter third we add Zhao's long-range electron correlation Hamiltonian to start a new theoretical calculation under the natural boundary conditions. We further to discuss the effect of electron correlation on the polaron. In Chapter four we calculated the average long-range correlation energy of polaron, and the average long-range correlation energy at the region of polaron.
