Electrodeposited Fe-Ni alloy had wonderful performances in its mechanical intensity,soft magnetic property, corrosion resistance and electrically characteristic, so it was widely used in industry field. With the development of technology, the alloy foil that can be peeled from the cathode was demanded in the high-tech scopes. the alloy foil can not only save some nickel, but also coating performance is better than pure nickel coating,it has very broad application prospects. Complex agent has played a very important role in the metal plating. In this paper,we use the suitable Complex agent to get good Fe-Ni alloy foil.Based on the agvantages of above, in this paper, we use complexing agent in Fe-Ni alloy electrolyte.The detailed research work was as follows:(1) The relationship between ferrous ion concentration, cathode rotating speed, pH value, temperature, complexing agent concentration , boracic acidconcentratioand current density with iron content of alloy foil and cathode current efficiency were investigated, Thus, it offered an feasibility for the continuous electrodeposition of FeNi alloy foil .(2) The structure of different components of Fe-Ni alloy and its corrosion behavior in 3.5% NaCl solution was researched. The results indicated that the alloy foil had a good corrosion resistance.(3)The electrodepositon process of Fe-Ni alloy was investigated by electrochemical techniques (polarization curve and EIS measurement). Combining with the experimental results and the literatures, the possible mechanisms of the FeNi alloy electrodeposition were proposed.
