The external screw thread processing special whirlwind milling machine can highly effectively, cleanly mill each kind of external screw thread, play the vital role to raise the production efficiency , reduce the production cost, and increase the competitive ability of the enterprise . However, the actual process of thread milling also has some problems, such as the milling tool chipping at the initial stage, vibrating during the processing of milling , which seriously affected the quality of post-threading .This thesis is based on solving these problems, which include studying the dynamic characteristics of special-purpose whirlwind milling, taking into account the whirlwind milling head components are the core components of the whole whirlwind milling machine, and its static and dynamic characteristics has a direct impact to processing quality and processing efficiency of the milling machine , With the aid of the present CAE analysis method and electrical measuring experiment, analyze the whole machine, the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head, and dynamic improve the structure of the whirlwind milling head.This article uses the present CAE analysis method to study the static and dynamic characteristics of the whole machine, the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head , the primary coverage is as follows:(1)analyzing the whole machine, the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head simplifying model to establish the overall, finite element model of the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head.(2) making the static analysis to the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head to obtain its static distortion and the intensity situation, through modal analysis to the whole machine, the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head and harmonic response analysis to the whirlwind milling head, obtaining the natural frequency and the mode of vibration situation of the whole machine, the whirlwind milling head and the main axle of the whirlwind milling head and the dynamic response displacement of the whirlwind milling head ,using this achievement as evaluation target to the dynamic characteristic quality of the whirlwind milling head.(3) improving the structure of the head of whirlwind milling, first by dynamic changing main axle support span and the radial direction size to determine the static and dynamic effect to the main axle, obtaining relatively optimizing support span and the radial direction size, and then improving other parts of the head of whirlwind milling on the structure and the size(4) through the electrical measuring experiment analysis to the complete machine cutting, comparing its result and the finite element modal analysis's result , verifying the validity and availability of the finite element analysis and the dynamic characteristic situation of machine tool after the structural improvement, finally indicating that the finite element model structured in this paper is feasible, the finite element method is available, and the structural improvement program to the head of whirlwind milling is feasible.
