The influence of synthesis conditions on the metal content of oil-soluble catalysts in the residue slurry-bed hydrocracking was studied and the better synthesis conditions were screened out. And sulfurized catalysts were characterized by optical microscopic, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and laser particle. Simultaneously, the effect of oil-soluble catalysts on residue hydrocracking reaction was studied in autoclave, and the functionary mechanism of oil-soluble catalyst had been discussed. It was showed that, the better synthesis conditions of oil-soluble M1 catalyst were that, the reaction temperature was about 220℃, the molar ratio of reactant (compound A1: compound A2: compound A3) was about 5:1:5, and the reaction time was about 4 hours. The better synthesis conditions of oil-soluble M2 catalyst were that, the raw materials ratio (B1: B2) was about 1:0.995, the temperature of reaction 1 was about 85℃, the time of reaction 1 was about 3h, the temperature of reaction 2 was about 95℃, the time was about 2h, and the material B3 was dropped gradually. Most of the oil-soluble catalysts agglomerated in varying degree after sulfurization. Effective oil-soluble catalysts activity group was metal sulfides after sulfurization, and existed as different kinds of crystal.M1 had the better hydrogenation activity than M2. M1 and M2 could produce synergy. M1/M2 catalyst formed a large number of granular material in process of sulfide. M1 catalyst existed as sulfide in non-crystalline form after sulfurized, and could be dispersed in the oil better. M2 catalyst existed as crystal. In the heavy oil slurry-bed hydrocracking reaction process, the catalysts had good effect on coke inhibition and hydrogenation. While the more obvious catalyst particles formed during the reaction, these particles could also be used as coke deposition fields, and decreased the coke formation on the surface of reactor.
