In recent years, water pollution has become an important aspect of environmental issues, the world also pay more attention to water pollution and control. The monitoring of water quality has been set higher standards by people. Total phosphorus is the sum of phosphorus-containing substances in various forms, chemical oxygen demand (COD) refers to reducing substances in the water consumption of antioxidants, converting oxygen concentration, they reflects the degree of eutrophication and the level of pollution by reducing substances respectively, are indicators which is to evaluate the water quality must be determination. Therefore, the study on method for determination of total phosphorus and COD is very important for water quality monitoring, But the existed methods for determination of total phosphorus and COD required more digestion time, heating, expensive equipment. So developing a fast, simple, sensitive method for determination was necessary. Based on the advantages of nano-titanium dioxide and Fenton reagent, this article study on nano-titanium dioxide and Fenton reagent both theory and practice aspects. The mainly concents include:First, based on light catalytic principle digestion total phosphorus,using nano TiO2 and Fe2(SO4)3 mixed solution, combination spectrophotometry method established a fast method of determinating total phosphorus, optimizing corresponding experimental conditions, then monitoring actual water in best experimental, spectrum data been used by double wavelength processing, deducting background interference, experimental results indicates that total phosphorus has good of linear in 00.3mg/l concentration range within, the detection limit is 0.0012mg/l, determination results and GB comparison, results consistent, and the method determination without separation light catalyst can spectrum determination directly, this way advantage are operation simple, high digestion rate and used to the environment water of determinationSecond, based on Fenton reagent it established a method for determinating total phosphorus in combination with COD, because if determinate total phosphorus and COD separately it needs different methods and reagents alonely, completed the determination of total phosphorus and COD require more reagents (at least 10 or more) and a longer time (at least 2 hours). Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a method for determinating total phosphorus and COD, to significantly reduce reagent type, shortened testing time. This rule joint up the determination of total phosphorus and COD, using same of digestion reagents, while used MG-Mo for explicit color agent, phosphate reaction with the explicit color agent formation colored complex,on the used malachite for explicit color agent, based on the competition between COD and malachite mechanism, the COD concentration is proportional to the residual malachite in the system digestion time, implementation COD of determination. The results show that the combined determination greatly reduces the types of reagents for the determination. Total phosphorus in a good linear at 00.2 mg/l concentration range, the detection limit is 0.002mg/l, COD in a good linear at 020mg/l concentration range, the detection limit is 1.92mg/l.Third, Based on more parameter Analyzer for total phosphorus determination, Fenton reagents method determination total phosphorus combinated with more parameter Analyzer, for debugging the instrument, selecting out best conditions, the results is compared with shimadzu spectrometer indicates that the result is same actual water samples in more parameter Analyzer and shimadzu spectrometer of comparison detection results consistent, description more parameter Analyzer to fast, and accurate of on water in the total phosphorus of detection, experimental results real reliable, has is broad of practical value, and more parameter Analyzer of volume is small, weight light and easy carry, makes total phosphorus of online monitoring became ture.
