The Barapukuria mine is the first large-scale modern coal mine in Bangladesh. In its working face the heat harm is very serious and the moisture content is very high, and the spontaneous combustion time is about 20 days in this high temperature and humidity environment. So the study of influence on coal combustion characteristic parameters. In high humidity environment was practical significant.Firstly, through the theoretical analysis of the various factors that influenced natural coal oxidation rule, the conclusion were that the temperature, pore ratio, oxygen consumption rate, air leakage intensity, exothermic rate and water content were major factors of natural coal oxidation. Secondly, through the temperature rising experiment, the DSC experiment, chromatographic adsorption experiment, industrial analysis experiment and true density analysis experiment with different moisture coal samples, experiment study of spontaneous combustion characteristics in Barapukuria mine were carried out. According to the DSC experiment and true density analysis experiment, the influence laws of moisture on the heat release and porosity were obtained. And the function of water content to permeability coefficient and air leakage intensity were inferred. According to the gas production rate, exothermic strength and oxygen consumption rate analysis of the different water content coal samples in different temperature conditions under the temperature rising oxidation process, the influence laws of water content on coal oxidation spontaneous combustion characteristics were obtained; through the oxygen adsorption experiment, the influence laws of different temperature and moisture content environment on coal physical oxygen sorption quantity, chemical oxygen sorption quantity and adsorption heat were obtained. Finally, based on theoretical analysis and experiment study, the influential regularity of water content on coal combustion limit parameters were analyzed, and these comprehensive analyses of research data were analyzed, combustion characteristic parameters of critical moisture value of six coal samples with different moisture content in Barapukuria mine were concluded. Study results suggested that coal samples witn 8% and 14.27% water were the most easy to spontaneous combustion. This research provided theoretic basis for coal seam fire prevention of Barapukuria and other high temperature and humidity environment mine.
