Graphene exhibits remarkable physical phenomenas and excellent properties due to its special structure. As a chemically exfoliated graphene derivative, graphene oxide (GO) is easy to be modified and functionalized by introducing of abundant oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface and edges. Therefore, GO and GO-based materials have attracted tremendous attention due to their exceptional electronic, optical, mechanical and chemical properties, and have found potential applications in high-performance electrocatalytic and sensing devices. C/C(carbon/carbon) composites, which show high thermal conductivity, light weight, low thermal expansion coefficient and other excellent performance, have achieved considerable attentions lately due to their excellent properties. These properties make them attractive for a variety of applications, among of which are aerospace, aircrafts wings, electrical transfer devices. Therefore, the research of C/C composites based on graphene sheet layer has important strategic significance.This article is based on the functionalized graphene oxide. To study the effects of different graphene oxide on the size and oxygen content by adjusting the scale graphite, we used the mesophase pitch with good anisotropic as the binder and graphene oxide as the reinforcement to make the high-quality C/C composites according to preform preparation, carbonization and graphitization. The properties of samples were characterized by SEM, XRD, four-probe conductivity, universal testing machine. Under the VGCF/MP composites with the best proportion of VGCF, the effect of the preparation and properties of the VGCF/MP composite material were analysed with the graphene flakes doping.The results indicate that the diameter of the graphene oxide can reach dozens of micrometer and the structure is clear and parallel with hummers method. There was a big difference in the graphene oxide prepared by different sizes of flake graphite. It was show that the particle size was smaller, the higher of its oxidation degree. When the size reached 96μm, the flake graphite can be fully oxidized. On this condition, the properties were best with the resistivity low to 0.95×10-4Ω·m, the flexural strength up to 28.5MPa. Under the 50% of VGCF, On the basis of VGCF and MP of mixing ratio of 1:1, the properties of VGCF/MP composites were obviously improved with the graphene flakes doping and when the doping ratio was 9.09% the properties were best with the resistivity low to 1.27×10-5Ω·m, the flexural strength up to 85.7MPa.
