In the past few years, ozone has become an even more important parameter of ambient air quality. Due to the strong oxidbillity, ozone could participate in a variety of air pollutants chemical conversion process, and do great harm to human beings and ecological environment. Therefore, it is very important to develop the research about prophylaxis and treatment strategy of ozone pollution.Based on the research approach and regulatory measurements developed by domestic and foreign cities, the current state of ozone pollution in Tianjin in 2013 and 2014 was analyzed at first. The result showed an aggravated statement of ozone pollution in Tianjin. A negative correlation was found between ozone and NOx, PM2.5. Relationship between ozone and meteorological parameters was also investigated; a negative correlation of temperature and positive correlation of relative humidity was confirmed. Diurnal and seasonal changes of ozone concentration showed that ozone pollution was severer at 2 to 5 pm in summer.To better understand the complicated relationship between ozone and its precursors (mainly NOx and VOCs), emission parameters of NOx and VOCs, and an OZIPR mode were used to simulate the ozone isopleth diagram. An important role of VOCs in the generation of ozone (VOCs-sensitive regime) was confirmed by the ozone isopleth diagram. Consumption rate of OH freeradical, ozone production potential was ultilized to analyze the reactive behavior of VOCs. Alkene was found to play an important role on the generation of ozone, with a contribution rate of about 68%. Therefore, prophylaxis and treatment strategy of ozone should be focused on the control of alkene.Through this research, three aspects of regulatory measures ware summarized to enhance the control level of ozone pollution. The first aspect was control of pollution source. Industry, life and natural emission should be managed properly and vehicle emission was a key controlling point. The second aspect was contamination monitoring. Based on the analysis of VOCs’reactive behavior, a long term VOCs component monitoring should be set up as soon as possible. The third aspect was developing ozone treatment policies. Because Tianjin was in VOC-sensitive regime, VOCs should be firstly controlled with cooperative modulation of NOx. Based on the ozone isopleths digram, a quantitative controlling method of ozone and its precursors was developd.
