In order to development composite materials with photochromic and energy storage, this paper adopted in-situ polymerization, melamine resin as the wall material and then coated the solid paraffin, compound paraffin and compound paraffin dissoloved chromic materials to produce the microcapsules, than photochromic and energy-storage microcapsules were applied to the fabrics. This experiment selected the optimal parameters of the phase change materials, species and using amount of emulsifier, shearing time and velocity, core-shell ratio, molar ratio of formaldehyde /melamine and so on, obtained the optimized process of producing the energy-storage microcapsules, and discussed the systhesis and chromotropic characteristics of the microcapsules, moreover, we also investigated the application performance through the DSC analysis and so on. In order to decrease the percentage of free formaldehyde in the microcapsules, we adopted different post treatment methods and changed the technique of producing microcapsules; At last, we applied the photochromic and energy-storage microcapsules to the fabrics through waterborne polyurethane, and characterized the property of the fabric by K/S value, color difference, hydrostatic pressure and so on, eventually we obtained the optimal producing techniques of coating.The results of the experiment showed that the differences of phase change materials, the species and amount of emulsifier, shearing time and velocity, core-shell ratio, molar ratio of formaldehyde/melamine had obvious effect on the capsule rate, capsule heart rate, the size and distribution, the property of energy-store of microcapsules, moreover, the using amount of the chromic materials also had effect on the chromic effect of photochromic and energy-storage microcapsules. The result of DSC showed that the transformation temperature of photochromic and energy-storage microcapsules was reasonable, the latent heat was high, the post treatment methods,2 times into shell, small grain size emulsion, batch polymerization of melamine could all decrease the percentage of the free formaldehyde. Temperature and time of drying and baking, the using amount of the microcapsules had effect on moisture permeability, chromotropic effect, energy store property of coating, The result of DSC showed that the transformation temperature of the coating fabric was reasonable, and the coating fabric had energy storage effect.
