C5 is mainly derived from petroleum hydrocarbon cracking high temperature cracking ethylene plant and refinery catalytic cracking unit, typically containing H2S and organic sulfur components. The organic sulfur in C5 mainly includes:carbonyl sulfide (COS), disulfide (RSSR1, such as dimethyl disulfide, diethyl disulfide), mercaptan (RSH, such as methanethiol, ethanethiol, propyl mercaptan, n-butyl mercaptan), sulfide (RSR’, such as dimethyl sulfide, diethyl sulfide) and thiophene. Caustic washing can remove H2S and most of the low molecular weight thiol. However, the remained organic sulfur become the material key processing of C5. Organic sulfur with stench and weak acid, and the reaction activity was also strong. Under certain conditions, corrosive to metal and accelerated corrosion, combustion can cause environmental pollution. Sulfur compounds not only directly affect the C5 processing stability, but also deep processing of chemical use. With the C5 component being chemical raw materials, the effects of sulfur compounds in C5 on catalysts and additives can not be ignored. Therefor, to explore effective desulfurization method is important.Having the experiment on choosing desulfurization agent, optimum condition and the desulfurization sorbent recovery, which for removing organic sulfur from refinery C5 fraction. The results indicated that serotonin of 5%(TSC5) was the best desulfurization agent. Under the conditions of the volume ratio of solvent to oil 0.3, the atmospheric pressure, reaction temperature 30℃, and reaction time 20 min, the sulfur can be reduced from 106μg/g to 8.7 μg/g, the desulfurization rate was 91.79%, yield was 99.40%. Volume ratio of washing water to oil 1.5(the volume ratio of recycling water to oil 1.3 and deionized water to oil 0.2), Alkali nitrogen in C5 can be reduced to 2νμg/g or less. Under the conditions of temperature 80℃ and airspeed 180h-1, using nitrogen gas lifting on rich liquid and washing water for separation and recycling. Re-formulated desulfurization effect was quite fresh sorbent.At last, a technology process on removal of organic sulfur from C5 was proposed and preliminary economic assessment was done. The process has a simple process, easy operation, low energy consumption and deep removal of organic sulfur compounds and other advantages.
