Since the titanium dioxide surface activity is very high, if not treated it with coating treatment, the titanium dioxide will become to unstable and easy to change color with other materials, so the titanium dioxide surface treatment technology has been given a birth in order to solve this problem. At present, the titanium dioxide surface treatment technology is developing toward the functionalization and speciality. But in the large-scale production, the traditional inorganic coating such as Zr-Al ocating and Si-Al-Zr coating, with high cost and long time, but low coating forming quality, all of these is a confusing problem for the production. Combined with the production and research of Yunnan Metallurgical Xinli Titanium Industry Co.,Ltd, in this thesis puts forward to use Ti-Al to replace regularly the Zr-Al coating. The Tiocl2 is the waste in chlorination process production, which can not only be converted into useful material, can also improve the coating quality to some extentThe thesis firstly studies to use the ZrOCl2 and NaA102 as the raw material to coat the surface of chloride titanium dioxide. Use two analysis such as TEM and BET to represent. According to the research, the coating feature is best with the following conditions, namely ripening temperature between 10℃-15℃, reaction time 75 minutes, Zr is 0.6% of titanium dioxide, PH 8-9.This thesis secondly studies to use the Tiocl2 and NaAlO2 as the raw material to coat the surface of chloride titanium dioxide. Use two analysis such as TEM and BET to represent. According to the research, the coating feature is best with the following conditions, namely ripening temperature between 70℃-75℃, reaction time 75 minutes, Zr is 0.6% of titanium dioxid, PH 8-9.Through the comparsion and analysis, using the Tiocl2 coating is more evener and denser than using ZrOCl2 and NaAlO2 coating. The surface of Zr-Al coating sample is bigger than without coating sample, this is due to the surface caoting is loose. The pore volume of Zr-Al coating sample is bigger than Ti-Al coating sample, but the pore diameter is smaller. So that means the densification of the particle structure is Ti-Al coating greater than Zr-Al coating. Through evaluating the gloss, color space (CDELab) and hiding power of the samples, we can see that each index of Ti-Al coating is better than Zr-Al coating.
