This paper bases on Pu’er Dapingzhang copper polymetallic ore evaluation of engineering geological data in Yunnan, taking Yunnan Lancang Dapingzhang copper open-pit 41 dacite slope as the research object, Using the existing mature theory, Dacite quality level in the studied area are classified and compared, it is concluded that which method is more applicable in the dacite among five classification methods, and also exploring the correlation of the values of [BQ] and RQD, RMR and giving the corresponding equations, In practical application, [BQ] has considered all factors of RQD, [BQ] method is more closer to the actual, a calculation method is provided for future national standard classification。The dacite rocky slope is taken as the research object, this paper tries to find out the rock shear strength value method through the study of basic data. Based on the analysis of the first hand data of 41 slopes, Forty one slopes which are constituted by dacite in Dapingzhang Open-pit Mining Stope of Pu’er City have been studied in order to determine the shearing strength for dacite. Based on Hoek-Brown strength criterion, and the numerical simulation and back analysis method are used to determine the mechanical parameters of rock mass, Through comparison the parameter error between the site shearing test and the calculated value that is based on the slope stability, the later has been employed as the substitute of the former to increase the specimen so as to reveal the relationship between the angle of shearing resistance of the rock and the coefficient of rock integrity together with the parameter of laboratory test for compression and shear. When the regression analysis is employed, which shows the correlativity between the angle of shearing resistance of the rock mass respectively with the coefficient of its rock integrity, product of the coefficient of its rock integrity and the uniaxial compression strength of rock, product of the coefficient of its rock integrity and the angle of shearing resistance of the rock mass. That’s of some reference value to determine shearing strength for rock mass. It also provides a reference for project management.
