Nowadays, the soot discharged by industrial and mining enterprises, automobile exhaust, northern dust and etc. increased the amount of harmful dust in the air, and endangered human health, the efficient dust removal equipment and environmental protection renewable solar energy was used widely under this situation. Considered the energy crisis and environmental problems comprehensively, the solar photovoltaic technology was combined with the electrostatic dust removal technology in this paper,designed a solar electrostatic precipitator, and studied the working performance.The main contents of this paper were followed:1. The main factors affecting the efficiency of the precipitator were analyzed in this paper, started from the optimization of collecting plate structure, the area of the anode plate in unit volume was increased by improving the structure of anode plate of electrostatic precipitator in order to improve the efficiency of dust removal. And then the experimental system of snowflake schema and finned tubular solar electrostatic precipitator was designed and built in this paper based on the configuration of solar photovoltaic modules.2. The experiment ensured that the working voltage range of snowflake schema solar electrostatic precipitator was 6~6.5 kV, the power range was 24.7~34.4 W. And the working voltage range of finned tubular solar electrostatic precipitator was12.5~13.5 kV, the power range was 59~88 W. In addition, the results showed that the solar electrostatic precipitator had a high dust removal efficiency, the collection efficiency is more than 96%, and the improved dust collector could absorb more dust in unit volume.3. The study about snowflake schema and finned tubular solar electrostatic precipitator that different solubility and particle of dust and different working voltage was done under sunny and cloudy weather. The study showed that the precipitator worked stability in the weather, the dedusting efficiency of dust was best, the dry powder was better, and the cement was the last. In addition, working voltage changed in the set range had a little influence on dust removal efficiency, but the solubility had a greater impact on it.4. The last, the dedusting efficiency of two kinds of structure solar electrostatic precipitator was compared, it was found that snowflake schema solar electrostatic precipitator’s corona wire had many sophisticates and it had a better discharge performance. So the dust removal effect of snowflake schema solar electrostatic precipitator was better than the finned tubular solar electrostatic precipitator’s.
