Oxime is a very important synthetic intermediate for the preparation of amines, amides, oxazoles (isoxazoles), pyridine, nitrones, nitriles and oxime-ethers. In this thesis, some applications of oxime in the organic synthesis were reviewed in recent years according to kinds of the organic reactions.Oxidative deoximation of ketoxime with ammonium chlorochromate (ACC)/montmorillonite K10 in dichloromethane, one-pot synthesis of benzylacetamide from oxime under ultrasound irradiation and the Beckmann rearrangement of ketoxime catalyzed by sulfamic acid and zinc chloride in acetonitrile were studied. Compared to the reported methods, the main advantage of the present procedure is simple work-up procedure, shorter reaction time and higher yield.
