Along with the rapid development of urban subway construction in our country, it is becoming a more and more important task to make people pay attention to reduce the possible influence on the old building from the subway construction. In this paper, combining with the extension project of the Shenzhen Metro Line 1 Old-Street station, raising this topic to verify the reliability of the program of Shenzhen Metro initiative pile foundation underpinning in shallow-buried tunnel to improve references for the technology of pile foundation underpinning.In order to verify the reliability of the program of Shenzhen Metro initiative pile foundation underpinning in shallow-buried tunnel, and ensure the safety of the tunnel construction and its upper building, we have made use of the large-scale non-linear numerical analysis software ABAQUS to simulate the process of the initiative pile foundation underpinning. Then we gain the results of the distribution of the settlement process and the settlement-time curves of the structure key points. The results show that the new construction program is safe and feasible.The successful implementation of the pile foundation underpinning in shallow-buried tunnel, resolve conflict between subway lines and commercial buildings in urban areas, have references, and provide a broader space for the design and construction of urban subway. This has obvious technical, economical and social benefit.
