Self-propelled guns are important in the army combat weapon equipment, It's rapid mobility has important influence in combat and survivability of artillery. It can effectively improve the positioning accuracy and speed by wireless sensor network rapid positioning system. Improve the capacity and the ability to survive.A systerm of positioning of self-propelled artillery was proposed based on ZigBee, according to the modern high-tech war conditions. In order to realize real-time field artillery location estimation, constructs the artillery location wireless network system based on ZigBee. Researched conditions of artillery formation boundary, so that the network can be realized. Using C/S network that can be substituted, make sure the unitarity of operation order. The system can be used for a battalion or company and it enhance the combat effectiveness of the units. Using the relative position of localization algorithm, the feasibility of relative coordinates was proved. Established a two dimensional relative coordinates. In the coordinate a quick location system of self-propelled guns was realized. And through the command of the commanders, realized the positioning and embattle of self-propelled guns. At last, the algorithm of relative coordinates, positioning and embattle was given.The self-propelled guns'rapid flexible was the trend of modern combat. This positioning system can enhanced the speed of reaction and mobility. It guaranteed the battle effectiveness in the battle.
