Taking the sixth-generation of deep-water semi-submersible drilling platform which will be used to exploit the deep-sea oil and gas of our countrySouth China Sea sea area as an example, analyzed the Sea keeping performance of this platform by theoretical analysis, numerical calculus and model experiment.First of all,I got each degree of freedom's response function and some hydrodynamic parameters, such as additional mass, additional damping by AQWA-Line,when this platform under different frequencies, according to the three-dimensional potential flow theory, and composes the hydrodynamic force parameter database under the frequency range. The AQWA-Drift Module is done to simulate time-domain coupling of the Semi-submersible platform and anchoring system, namely to simulate the combined effect of the waves and wind under working conditions (South China sea conditions for a return year) and survival conditions (once in ten years of the South China Sea sea conditions) and its movement response when facing the waves. We design a truncated mooring system, and get the platform's movement response in six degrees of freedom under the response of waves and storms by mixed model test methods. And then compare the results of model tests with numerical calculation using spectrum analysis method. This paper analyzes the heave performance of the target platform, and the calculates the platform's heave response in the typical sea conditions, focus on analyzing the influence the Jonswap spectrum parameters to the platform's vertical-movement.response. Finally, considering a platform and wave coupling case, I analysis the air gap response, and calculate the extreme gap of the measuring points with narrow-band wave model theory. Hope that through this study, can give a reference of the platform's actual design, development and construction.
