As an efficient and energy conservation way, the frequency and speed modulation technology has been extend, while the wound motor is different from the squirrel-cage induction motor drive because of its unique structure, the frequency control can be bilateral. Based on studying of the high and low frequency converter applied the winding rotor thorough, puts forward that the rotor speed-adjusted is necessary and feasible. Based on double-variable control theory, selects the trapezoidal wave as reference wave, provides high quality of the inverter power for the rotor .Deduces the equivalent circuits of the the rotor winding type asynchronous motors in the rotor side, establishes the simulation model, analysises the starting characteristics ,speed characteristic and load simulation characteristic of the side of the rotor. Buildes the experimental platform, compares trigger moment and actual output waveform between stator and rotor side. By regulating the load, obtaines the quantity relationships of the load torque and speed, draws the mechanical curve of the rotor and the stator side.Experimental results show that the rotor side power factor is higher than the stator ,and rotor demandes of high quality power; the winding motor's speed can be adjusted in the side of the rotor and run smoothly, rotor side mechanical properties is softer than the stator side when the motor is in the stable operation. The overall results show that the rotor-side variable frequency is a solution to a practical scheme of low voltage control high-voltage motors ,and also the basis of double-fed speed regulation .It has good prospects in the industry.
