Reactive power optimization of power system regional grid can guarantee the quality of power supply and meet customer demand and reactive power to maintain system voltage stability. And also can reduce the power loss, enhance the economic benefits of power grid operation, increase economic efficiency of grid operation.The reactive power optimization problem itself is a mixed integer problem, General algorithms take discrete variables as continuous variables to processing, and then take the result rounding. Then do the flow calculation. This affect has changed the optimize result.This paper analyzes some reactive power optimization algorithm, Select predictor-corrector interior point method for in-depth study, and combined with branch and bound method, and improve it, get a practical reactive mixed integer optimization algorithm. Through IEEE 14, IEEE30, IEEE118 bus system optimizing, effectiveness and practicality of this algorithm has been verified. Through analysis, the algorithm for reactive power optimization problem has high practical value. Finally, we use this method in Nanchang 112 nodes system to optimize, compared with the original operating mode, power loss has been further reduced.
