1000kV Changzhi~Jingmen UHV line put into operation, marking the state grid enter ultra-high voltage power grid network era. To large power grids, large unit, the high voltage of the main features of the modern interconnected power system, highlighting the growing importance of security and stability. In recent years many large international power blackouts, and Zhejiang power failure in the typhoon, freezing rain, snow and other natural disasters, to us a lesson, must strengthen reaserch of the grid stability.After put into operation of zhoushan 220kV AC interconnection lines in 2010, Zhoushan power grid will be entering a new era. In early stage of 220kV AC lines operation, Zhoushan 220kV main power grid slightly weak. Based on the detailed analysis of Zhoushan power, especially in the early stages of network operation, through static security analysis of Zhoushan power grid, transient stability, small signal stability, frequency stability, voltage stability, short-circuit current calculation and etc, find out the security and stability issues in operation. Puts forward the solutions such as optimization of network operation mode, the installation of security-stability control equipment, increasing installed unit's PSS and etc..
