With the continuous improvement of building energy efficiency requirements by the nation, exterior wall external insulation technology as a branch of the wall energy-saving in building energy-saving technology is developing in the ascendant. Exterior wall external insulation system as a whole one not only has high quality requirements to the insulation, fireproof, waterproof, impact resistance, weather resistance, durability, but also be ensure that it has a good bond behaviour between the adjacent layers in the structure. It's the key link of exterior wall external insulation techniques. So, it's necessary to research a exclusive interface agent with excellent properties, which is precondition of exterior wall external insulation techniques to be popularization and application.By the"particle design" theory, the following three types of emulsions were prepared respectively: with butyl acrylate (BA), styrene (St), methyl methacrylate (MMA) as the main monomers, acrylic acid (AA) and hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) as the composite functional monomers, the styrene-acrylic emulsion was synthesized by the core-shell emulsion polymerization;with butyl acrylate (BA), vinyl acetate (VAc) as the main monomers, acrylic acid (AA), polyethylene glycol macromonomer (PEGMA), hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), acrylamide (AM) as the functional monomer respectively, vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion was synthesized through pre-emulsified and semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization; with polyether/polyester diol (JW2503), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA) as the raw materials, water-based polyurethane emulsion was synthesized by the method of self-emulsifying. The structure and emulsion particle morphology of the synthesized emulsion were characterized by means of fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), laser light scattering (LLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) et al. The results showed that the size of the prepared adhesive emulsion was uniform and dispersion was stability.The prepared three types of emulsion were applicated to exterior wall external insulation system respectively. Through the single factor experiments, the influrences of monomer composition, content of protective colloid (dispersion agent), drying time, drying air temperature set of styrene-acrylic emulsion adhesive for the interfacial adhesive properties on extruded polystyrene panel (XPS) were investigated, established the best way of using the emulsion; the influrences of hard/soft monomer ratio, content of initiator, emulsifier ratio, selection of functional monomer and content of specific functional monomer of vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion for the interfacial adhesive properties on XPS were dissucussed; the influrences of -NCO/-OH ratio, particle size and distribution of polyurethane emulsion for the interfacial adhesive properties on spray polyurethane (SPU) were investigated, compared the tensile bond results of three kinds of emulsion interfacial agents(vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion, polyether polyurethane emulsion and polyester polyurethane emulsion) on SPU.Following the single factor experiments, it's drew that the vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion was exclusive interface agent for XPS exterior wall external insulation system, When prepared under the optimal formula and process conditions, it's original adhesive strength and water resistant adhesive strength were 0.254MPa and 0.275MPa respectively; and the polyester polyurethane emulsion was the exclusive interface agent for SPU exterior wall external insulation, its top original adhesive strength and water resistant adhesive strength were 0.202MPa and 0.139MPa, which were much higher than the technical requirements on the adhesive in the architectural industry trial standard such as Su JG/T016-2008 Technical specifications on FWB Exterior Wall External Insulation System and Technical guidelines for Rigid Polyurethane Foam External Thermal Insulation.
