Wind power is not only renewable but also without pollution, it's of great significant for us to utilize wind power, because the world is short of energy and full of pollution. Wind power industry and generation technologies developing rapidly all over the world, especially in Europe. Our country also with great effort to promote wind power industry by enacted laws and policies related with wind power, more better then the past years when wind power industry developed very slowly. In these circumstances, the dissertation addresses several topics in the field of wind power technology, such as modeling and control of wind turbine generator, wind farm grid connection based on VSC-HVDCThe main achievements of the research include:(1) The paper studied the principle of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG), which are widely used in large scale wind farm, and introduced the mathematic model in detail, then derived the control equations with vector control technique, and the maximum power point tracking control method. (2) Wind farm connection method based on VSC-HVDC is studied, and then designed the model of control system, including decoupling control model of inner control loop, and out control loop such as DC voltage based controller, AC voltage based controller and active and reactive power based controller. (3) Control methods under fault conditions are studied.
