Tracked vehicles, because of their good traffic ability, are widely used in agriculture, project construction, forest fire fighting, military and other fields. All-terrain articulated tracked transported vehicle is a kind of vehicle which can travel in many ground conditions, it can walk freely when the ordinary vehicles are unable to go mobile under the terrain condition, even can achieve the delivery of staff and goods under extremely dangerous geographical conditions. For the moment, more and more countries realize the extensive potential applications of all-terrain articulated tracked transported vehicle, and gradually increase investment in human and financial resources of its research and development. The steering behavior of all-terrain articulated tracked transported vehicle reflects one of the most important tactical characteristics, studies its performance has much significance in vehicles' reasonable design and the correct use.This paper based on the RecurDyn software profession application subsystem RecurDyn/Track(HM) establishes single tracks and articulated tracked transported vehicle virtual prototype model, what's more,combined with the terrain and different geological parameter which the RecurDyn software platform provides, establishes corresponding ground model. Analyzed the steering of the single tracked transported Vehicle and articulated tracked transported vehicle in different terrain based simulation results. And analyzed some kinematics and dynamics parameters in its different steering conditions, predicted and evaluated the steering performance of the articulated tracked transported vehicle. Making All-terrain articulated tracked transported vehicle suit for stable steering characteristics of the mathematical model and numerical method, the use of steering is not accurate steering performance indicators as an evaluation study of its own structural parameters of steering performance.Simulation results show that the virtual prototype model of all-terrain articulated tracked transported vehicle created by RecurDyn in this paper is correct, the simulation results real. In the simulation the model can be successful in steering process, the steering has good flexibility and mobility, and the simulation results can reflect the real process of turning of a real car. Methods used in this paper and the conclusions that can predict and evaluate the performance steering, and then the structural design of the vehicle to improve and enhance the vehicle's steering performance, and it can also provide reference for other similar vehicle structure design and analysis. It can shorten the product development design cycle, optimize product structure, and resulting in great economic benefits in the actual production process, it has a very important practical significance.
