With the development of modern electric power industry, the large-capacity power generating units has become a pillar industry. As one of the main monitored parameters of the boiler water quality in the thermal power plant, the fast, accurate, real-time monitoring of phosphate content has great meaning to ensure safe operation of the electric power industry.This paper has brief introduced the background of Phosphate Analyzer application and the main methods of phosphate content measurement, has discussed the influencing factors which might be influence the measuring results, and use Kalman filtering method to measuring phosphate ions content by Spectrophotometry. And in this paper, the overall system hardware and software design has been finished in foundation of Phosphorus vanadium molybdenum yellow Spectrophotometry.The system uses the high-speed, low-power consumption, industrial grade single chip microcomputer AT91M40800 as the core processor to control the whole system operation, uses the programmable logic device CPLD to control the channel switch and piston pumps and motor's work. However, the system has transplanted the embedded operating system to ensure its long time, online, stable running. The paper also confirmed the satisfactory operating results by the experiment data.Infer to the testing and debugging results, the analyzer can monitor phosphate ion content of water quality real-time and online, can auto measuring data, store data, and remote transfer data through 4~20mA standard current and RS~485 communications to support remote monitoring of on-site Instrument operation.
