| Trimaran has its unique advantages. Compared to conventional ship type, trimaran has such excellence: favorable stability, sea-keeping, wave-making resistance, preferably viability and wide deck area. Because of the good performance, trimaran become the research hotspot in the world shipbuilding industry, and also become the first choice to design Corvette, Littoral Combat Ship, multi-functional Ship. Domestic trimaran research focused on the hydrodynamic theory, ship form optimization, model test, as well as conceptual design, etc. Therefore, this paper study focused on basic design and modularization of trimaran warship.Based on the study of the way and content of ship basic design, this paper finished the basic design for a 500-ton high-speed trimaran warship, calculated the speed and powering performance ,determined its principal dimensions, general layout, hull lines, propeller type and main engine power. The ameliorated Theory of Noblesse Slender ship is used to calculate the wave-making resistance of this trimaran. Baced on the results, the position of the sub-hull is determined,which further improve the basic design.The versatility of ship is reflected in the modularization design. This paper studied the process of modularization design, and also concluded the differences between the modularization design and the traditional design. Ship is divided into structural and function modules. For structural modules, this paper analysed the design evolution and classification principles. For function modules, this paper analysed electrical power modules, personnel security modules, automated control system modules, weapons and equipment modules.Combined with the characteristics of a trimaran,this paper studied the impact of modularization on the trimaran basic design, proposed the idea of functional areas and the principle of trimaran platform design,and also divided trimaran into different platforms depending on the different tasks of ship. |
