Acoustic reconstruction is an inverse problem of the acoustic radiation. In acoustic field reconstruction, the entire sound field is derived by measuring a finite number of points of information in the sound field. At present, there are many ways to carry out this work, such as boundary element method and wave superposition method. However, this situation is not convenient to the practical application, for more information need to be collected when dealing with complex sound source. Therefore, finding a quick solution is meaningful to research. In this paper, modal analysis method is used in the study of acoustic reconstruction, to research the related theories of technology of the acoustic radiation modes analysis. A number of different simulation models are established, including spherical source, quadrupole source, rectangular plate and important cylindrical source. The acoustic radiation modes of these models are solved, and the radiation acoustic field of these models is reconstructed.A testing experiment using Sing-layer cylindrical shell about the acoustic radiation modes is carried out, and the result matches the theoretical value well. The experiment result shows that this technology of the acoustic radiation modes analysis, it costs much less time. To sum up, it is a technology of feasibility and practicability.
