When cold-formed steel structure residential building bears the Seismic loading and the vertical load, it mainly relied on the composite wall. In this thesis, under the basis of the reference to the calculation of sheathing and the drift-resisting performance computing of wooden composite wall, this thesis put forward of the composite wall of cold-formed structure of the side wall of bearing capacity and lateral rigidity of a simplified calculation formula, and verified the applicability and the accuracy of the simplified calculation formula through the way of test and ANSYS finite element simulation.The main aspects of thesis are as follows:Firstly, introduce briefly the characteristics of cold-formed steel structure, the domestic and overseas application of the cold-formed steel structure of residential building at present, and the domestic and overseas research status of the composite wall of the cold-formed steel structure residential building.Secondly, under the basis of the reference to the calculation of sheathing and the drift-resisting performance computing of wooden composite wall, the thesis have analyzed the shear transfer principle of composite wall, the principle deformation and failure mode, and put forward a simplified model of single-chip a composite wall, then made the simple calculation formula of drift-resisting capacity and lateral rigidity which were on the basis of the self-drilling screw connections test. Finally the improvement of documents from abroad to self-drilling screw to connect test shear test results provided the basis of the calculation.Thirdly, through the comparative analysis of the results between experiment and formula on cold-formed composite wall of drift-resisting capacity and lateral rigidity, both are close. So it verified the applicability and the accuracy of the simplified calculation formula in composite wall calculation. It's suitable for the actual project design.Fourthly, Analyzed on the changes of composite wall bearing capacity and stiffness in different situations, such as the combination of wall aspect ratio, the space between the edge of screw, the distance in the middle screw, as well as the space in the middle column etc., we got some results.Fifthly, under the basis of a composite wall of finite element analysis assumption, the choice of cell types, materials model and geometry of the material, I got both the results of the ANSYS and the simplified theoretical calculation formula. They are in good agreement. It demonstrated the feasibility of the finite element software ANSYS calculation in such problems. At the same time, ANSYS finite element software was used for the study of effects in drift-resisting capacity of the side composite wall and stiffness, which came from the wall thickness of the steel frame and steel frame steel strength. Both of them didn't reflect in the simplified theoretical calculation formula.Finally, on the basis of the above research, sum up the main conclusions and propose the further improved work in this thesis according to the domestic and overseas research direction.
