Along with the inventory of family car increasing year by year, the enormous pressure for urban transportation it has brought. Northwestern Shandong as an economically backward area, during the rapid development of economic, is is confronted with the traffic problem which most of developed regions facing in their developing course. How to avoid the traffic problem while developing the family car, has been the focus to which people pay attention increasingly.Our government encourage the residents to buy medium and small-sized family car with low exhaust emissions by means of government interventions such as transform administrative fees into taxes, drop the tax on small displacement vehicle purchases,and so on. On one hand to meet the demand for family car, on the other hand to reduce the negative impact of the increasing family car which bring enormous pressure for urban transportation and environment.this project has study the style design for family economic cars, improve the existing family car so as to promote the development and popularization of small family car. this project will plays an important role in improving the quality of life and urban resident trip survey.This article through to northwestern Shandong residents living transportation and consumption survey of attitudes, dividing a three target groups, According to three target groups consumption idea and for family car travel request, unifies the existing urban transportation development research material, to existing family car design strategy, the analysis and research for automobile manufacturers to provide some theoretical reference.Northwestern Shandong as a high-speed economic development area, it has a huge developing space for family car, this project analysis the local resident trip mode and consumption attitude, combining the state-of-art and development trend of traffic in Northwestern Shandong, then, improve the style and automotive trim of existing economical automobile, so as to promote the development of medium and small-sized family car, it also plays positive impact on the development of the family car in the other similar developing area in our country. And then avoid the problems encountered in the developmental process of economically developed areas.
