Flash butt welding is a major part of the chain-making progress. The flash butt welding workgroup were made up of movable work platform, the heating power and the corresponding electronic control circuit.This article focus on researching and designing an efficient electrical system for flash butt welding machine, which will be used to replace the imported machine control system completely. Flash butt welding equipment is composed of electrical system from the main circuit power, welding power, control systems and other components. For the first part, depending on the device power requirements, design non-contact power supply thyristor controlled switch circuit, thyristor switch from the trigger;The control system is make up by two parts, the welding preparation and welding implementation, The welding preparation is divided into debugging stage,workpiece clamping stage, promoting and welding stage, etc. Under the control of flash butt welding, design a motor control system based on PLC equipment commissioning. For the implementation part, as per the welding quality requirements, design intelligent control system of welding process based on industrial computer.In view of developing software for welding control system, achieve to set up the parameters for welding process, curve control, defect compensation fuzzy intelligent control functions.This system has the following good features, operation intuitively, easy to adjust, accuracy control, positioning with high accuracy, It works good in the trial run of production.
