Exploration Of Traditional Dwellings Design Based On The Experience Type Development

This article discusses the development of experience-based design of traditional dwellings in Changsha the basis of principles and methods.This thesis analyzed traditional dwellings in Changsha from four different aspects, such as structural architecture, the main structured approach, the plane composition, and the decoration characteristic and then pointed out the dilemma of preserving Changsha's traditional dwellings resided in social development, city planning, population density and living conditions during the process of modernization. With the study of former experience in modification of traditional dwellings the thesis also draw a conclusion on why traditional dwellings did not receive enough attention as they deserved.In order to satisfy the development of Experience economy, this article also suggested that the modification should be driven by the goal of "experience". The unique traditional culture in Hunan, the unique traditional living styles are the "experience" we try to provide. The article also concluded four key principles we should pay more attention to. The first is that we should exaggerate and keep the originality. Secondly, we should balance the development and preservation. Thirdly, we should make sure these traditional dwellings are livable. Lastly, we should keep them origin both inside and outside. Following the guidance of these four during the modification of traditional dwellings are for the benefit of both government and individuals.The thesis studies No.10 tongrenli Place, Jixiang Streets, Kaifu areas in Changsha as an example. analyzes the experience-based development design in the field via surveys on the spot. First of all, it points out those well maintained representative construction and preservation of living traditional culture in No 10. This just suits the development of experience-based design requirements. And then the dwellings premises can achieve the traditional residential development into open space that meets the travel, through the transformation of space and equipment; indoor furniture, matching furnishings. And also experience the traditional living culture-"inn experience," so that the traditional houses the protection and development of a virtuous cycle.
