Study On Visual Information Cognition And Communication Of Environment Sculpure

With the development of economy and the rising concept of the urban landscape design, the urban landscape has been attacted attention in most Chinese metropolitans recent years. The improvement of the urban environment has become an important objective of the municipal governance, so environmental sculpture design is placed in an very important position. As a component of public space, environmental sculpture which is closely related to material and spiritual civilization plays an important role in decorating the space environment, expressing urban culture, reflecting the characteristics of the city, enhancing the quality of urban living environment, conveying the emotional concept of the public and sharing the aesthetic resources. It also represents how material civilization develops and which level the city's economy and culture has reached, therefore, it is a symbol of human civilization and progress.China's environmental sculpture construction has been attracted much attention and obtained great achievements. Due to various reasons, there are a number of unresolved problems. It exists a trend that contemporary environmental sculpture design and creation will develop diversely. Design is related not only to science, technology and economy, but also to psychology and social culture. Designers (sculptor), environmental sculpture and viewers (the public), plus the interaction among them constitute a complete system to transmit information. In this paper, the theory of cognitive psychology and communication is introduced to the discussion of the environmental sculpture; in result, the author try to build a bridge among cognitive psychology, communication and environmental sculpture design so that all subjects could complement each other, then all subjects and majors'advantages can be applied completely. The intersection of environmental sculpture and communications, cognitive science and environmental psychology is found from the perspective of cross-disciplinary environment, and the environmental sculpture design process is seen as a process of conveying knowledge, ultimately the phenomenon of environmental sculpture is analyzed and interpreted from a new perspective. Through the analysis of the elements of visual information of environmental sculpture, the thesis discusses cognitive psychology and communication elements of environmental sculpture, and studys the cognition and dissemination process of visual art information of environmental sculpture. It also proposes reasonable advices for the construction of environmental sculpture. The research provides some enlightenment for the development of environmental sculpture, as it can be studied from a new perspective to enrich its theory. Environmental sculpture design and construction should avoid blind, random and disordered. Future environmental sculpture design should be optimized, new ideas and methods-be applyed to meet the demands of the further development of China's environmental construction and people's livings.
