With the development of productive force in today's society, the human demand for energy is growing. Conventional energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas reserves are limited and difficult to regenerate. The wind energy as an environmentally friendly green energy has developed rapidly, while stand-alone capacity of generating units continue to increase, which makes the study of the wind turbine main control system of more and more important.This paper main studies the main control system of the wind turbine. The mainstream of today's wind turbine is variable speed constant frequency wind turbine, and this main control system is also designed for this type of wind turbines. This paper first introduces the basic theory of wind turbines, including the variable pitch wind turbine aerodynamics and power conditioning methods and control strategies. Fuzzy control by sliding mode control theory and the study of wind power generation system for random, non-linear characteristics of fuzzy sliding mode controller, the pitch angle control, achieve maximum power tracking control requirements.Main control system for wind turbine is designed in two parts. In the hardware the PLC of the B & R Company constructs the hardware architecture and achieves the security and stability requirements. In software part, the combination of wind power in the MATLAB toolbox, and AS B & R company programming and simulation software to build the wind turbine simulation platform. In the design of the communication protocol the OpenSafety protocol is introduced to enhance the safety of the communication between the turbine and the supervisor. Finally, specifically for wind turbine yaw system, proposing changes under the control of wind direction and wind power algorithm to shorten the time for the wind to improve the accuracy of the wind. This method can meet the requirements of the large-scale grid-connected wind turbine yaw control.
