The misalignment of rotors fault is one of the most common fault during operation to turbine generator rotor system. Rotor misalignment consists of coupling misalignment and bearing misalignment. In order to ensure the safety and stability operation of the unit, based on the turbine unit, the paper researched the vibration property and fault diagnosis methods of the rotor misalignment.The paper investigated vibration mechanism of the widespread use of gear coupling and rigid coupling in the state of shaft system of rotor misalignment, deduced the dynamic equation of quantity and shaft deflection, obtained shaft vibration quantity caused by deviation. Besides, the pater researched the failure rotors movement rules, established the mathematical dynamics equations of the failure rotors and concluded the typical character of the rotors misalignment.Based on a large number of coupling misalignment fault cases, the paper classified the rotor misalingment according to fault style, fault causes and location. The paper deeply investigates the vibration mechanism and fault symptoms of all kinds of misalignment faults and further analyzed the influence of security and economy exerted on the unit when fault occurred. The Failute Tree Analysis and Failure Mode Effects Analysis methods are utilized to dissertate reasons occurred and the corresponding treatment measures. According to the typical failure monitoring parameters, fault feature, fault reasons and so on of the unit, the paper respectively made a on-line diagnosis method to coupling misalignment and bearing misalignment. Diagnostic procedures and processes were formulated. Finally, based on actual case, the thesis successfully diagnosis and eliminated the fault using this method. The results of this study have theoretical guidance and practical value to determine and control on rotor misalignment vibration failure of turbine-generator unit.
