Nowadays, with the rapid development of high-speed railway, the ability of receiving current of high-speed train from catenary system has been a key element for the performance of running train. So, it's necessary to have a deep research work on the certain technology problem of high-speed pantograph-catenary system. The best way to solve this problem is to adapt an active pantograph, for it's hard to improve the performance of current receiving by means of optimize the structure of pantograph. This thesis gives a detail analysis on this problem, and proposes a new method of realizing active pantograph. The main works included in this thesis are listed as follows:The dynamic features of pantograph and catenary system are provided separately, and we also give the mathematical model of couple system of pantograph-catenary system. And based on the analysis result, we proposed a method of calculating the contact force between pantograph and catenary.In order to realize the actively controlled pantograph, a new model reference controller based on the Lyapunov stability theory is proposed in this essay. The control law of this model reference controller is also provided. Using parameters of an actual pantograph and actual catenary system, we construct the simulation model of pantograph-catenary system under the simulation environment of MATLAB/SIMULINK software. And analysis the simulation results of active control system under the speed of 250km/h and 350km/h. the simulation results indicate that active control system is valid under certain situation.We also proposed a new actuator-Cylinder Linear Induction Motor (CLIM), for the first time, as active actuator, because the usually used actuators are hydraulic or pneumatic ones. Vector control method is applied to achieve the frequency control of CLIM. We use the parameters of an actual CLIM to set up the mathematical model and simulation model of CLIM, and apply contact force between Pantograph and Catenary as the load of CLIM, then get the output force of CLIM from simulation model, the results agree well with the theoretical analysis results.Finally, we also provide the experimental scheme of the active control system, present the installation methods of different sensors, and chose TMS3202407 controller made by TI company as the controller chip.
