| From SARS to H1N1, human health is facing a huge threat with the deterioration of the global ecological environment. More and more people are troubled by various city diseases. The proportion of Sub-health population keeps increasing. The health status of urban residents is especially not optimistic. There is a growing urgency to have healthy urban environment. Urban park, as an important urban infrastructure which is closely related to the residents'daily life, must take on the heavy responsibilities of maintaining and promoting the residents'physical and mental health. But, the positive effects of garden environment in public health haven't caused wide public concern. It is just a beginning for landscape professionals to study and try to design healthcare gardens, especially the study on the design of urban healthcare parks is still a blank field, and the residents'understanding of this issue is quite superficial. In this context, this paper selects the urban park which is most close to the people's daily life as study object. By the way of theoretical studies combined with field investigation, it will discuss the approach of urban healthcare park design based on people's actual demand. This paper has five chapters. Chapter one mainly defines related concepts of urban healthcare park and introduce the main contents and methods. Chapter two expounds the results of theoretical studies on healthcare garden, urban park and human psychology and behavior. It summarizes the present situation and existing problems in the field of healthcare garden and urban park, and sums up the characteristics on human psychology, behavior and environmental awareness.Chapter three analyzes the necessity and feasibility of popularizing healthcare garden from the perspective of residents'needs based on the data processing results of the questionnaire, and it will show the the general direction of urban healthcare park design. The content of questionnaires includes urban residents'health care habits, their understanding of healthcare garden and how do they choose garden environment. Chapter four discusses the characteristics of urban residents in using public parks from three aspects of primary attributes, activity characteristics and landscape preferences, and it analyzes visitors'usage requirements and factors harmful to health in present urban parks. This chapter is based on the field survey in urban parks in tai'an by the method of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) including questionnaire survey, field trip and interview. Based on the above studies, chapter five discusses the Method of urban healthcare park design from four aspects including function definition, design principles, overall planning and detailed design. Summarizes the results and deficiency of this paper and makes suggestions for future research. It proposes public participation in the design and multidisciplinary collaborative in the research. It hopes to offer some reference for construction of urban healthcare parks in the future. |
