According to incomplete statistics, there are about 87000 reservoirs in our country, including 46400 dangerous ones, which is located in the forefront of the world. The presence of dangerous reservoirs, threatens the safety of downstream residents and their property, restricts the country's unity and sustained economic development as well. How to effectively control reservoirs dangerous and reduce the risk of dam accident? It has become the top priority in current reservoir management.The Big Heisonggou reservoir built in Baishan City is a small reservoir, providing the production and residents living water in Wangou Town. The seepage damage has been very serious since the dam built in 2002. Based on the status of the reservoir leakage, the results of engineering geological investigation and the two previous ineffective treatments was analized in this paper, then designs for different locations and integrated use of several construction technology were proposed to complete the design and construction tasks in reservoir management. The main techniques adopted in the reservoir seepage control construction are showed as follows:(1) Stone Column:As for the empty parts within the dam caused by water erosion, percussion drill was used to bore holes. In the process, the hole wall was squeezed. After the hores completed, injection the cement grout and rubble to form the impermeable pile.(2) High Pressure Jet Grouting:As for the the contact part leakage between dam and the foundation which was made of sand and gravel, both sides of the turnels and the connected area between stone columns, high pressure jet treatment is proposed, so as to form a continuous impervious wall.(3) Curtain grouting technology:curtain grouting technology was used at the leakage part in dam foundation which was made of rock.In this paper, integrated technologies introduced above were used in seepage control messures at Big Heisonggou Reservoir to obtain a good anti-seepage effect through various means of detection. The results of this paper is a successful design and construction experience in reservoir management and provide reference for design and construction in similar projects.
