With the increasingly serious environmental problems, energy saving and emission reduction is more urgent in the field of energy, as a large user of energy, power industry faced increasing pressure in energy saving. In this paper, it analyzed the current status and problems of the development of cogeneration, introduced the basic theory of central heating system, including heat user, heating network, heat exchanger and steam turbine. It researched the relationship between different parts of CHP, and researched the energy saving potential started from the cold source of CHP. It researched the operating characteristics of CHP as a system which include heat user, heat network and steam turbine, analyzed the varying feature of the supply and return temperature of heating network's water with the change of environment temperature, and drew the curve of heating network and heat exchanger, unite the curve of LP, drew the united curve of CHP system. It united the curve of CHP with heating system, and researched its function in regulating process. It compared with Condensing Unit's varying condition power calculation, using the formula of characteristics flow area, preparation the CHP varying condition computer program. It expained the notes and ccuracy of the program using a example, fixed the result whose error was large. It proposed a new model in heating compared with series and parallel heating model, computed the economy of different heating model using the varing condition program, proposed more ecnomical heating model and regulating method.
